Pemberton Horsemanship Retreat

from CA$1,299.00

Four Point Ranch is happy to host a retreat for horse owners and horse enthusiasts with our friends from the CS Horsemanship Team, Caleb Smith, and Lindsay Craig. Our inaugural 3-day retreat will take place August 13, 14 & 15 in the picturesque Pemberton Meadows.

This retreat will focus on relationship building (in and out of the saddle) by preaching consensual leadership and wellbeing for the horse and rider. You will leave feeling confident in your horsemanship, riding, and will have a deeper understanding of how to listen to your horses and meet their needs - all while creating community. All skill levels and knowledge are welcome and horse boarding or horse rental is available if needed.

During your stay, you will enjoy food from SaltyGrl (Lisa Beaumont) who will be serving delicious farm-to-table meals with ingredients straight from our neighbours’ farms - which is exactly what the Pemberton Valley is famous for.

We look forward to having you join us for an intimate gathering, surrounded by the best forest, mountains and farmlands the world has to offer. COVID safety precautions will be in place throughout your stay.

A list of local accommodations can be provided upon request.  In partnership with Bed & Bale.

NOTE: All participants must be members of Horse Council BC, https://hcbc.ca/

CS HORSEMANSHIP

We strive to achieve a well-balanced approach while interacting and being in relationship with horses.

With a background in Equine Assisted Learning and a diploma in professional counseling, Lindsay is excited to dive deep into the psychology behind the human-horse bond and relationship. She will take you through various exercises to create a mutually beneficial experience for you and your horse. Strengthening your confidence as a partner and a steward.

Coming from the world of performance in extreme cowboy racing, working cow horse as well as reining, Caleb strives for excellence and encourages athleticism in our horses. Bettering their ability to move and carry themselves under you, will help to keep your horse sound, feeling free, and willing to work.

Developing relationships and ease with horses is our purpose, and we hope to share that with you.

You can bring your own horse (locals can bring daily in a trailer, while those from afar can board their horse at the ranch) or you can opt to select from our herd of horses to work with.  Horses that are boarded will be separated from other horses. We will have a consultation with you if you’d be interested in leasing one of our horses for the retreat. All levels of skill of horse and rider are welcome and will benefit from the course work.

The group will be distanced and will not consist of more than 12 total.  We ask all to wear masks while inside using the restroom.  Otherwise, all activities will be outdoors, including meals (though sheltered).  Pemberton is normally pretty beautiful weather-wise in June.

If you have any questions, please email lisa@saltygrl.com or cshorsemanship@outlook.com
